In Search of Healing
When I last left a message to website visitors, it was to say that a series of losses has depleted both my time to write and the spirit to write. There had been the deaths of two wonderful sisters and a long-time friend; the two horses that had shared nearly 30 years of my life, my precious golden retriever and sweet cat; and then my mother’s descent into the hell of becoming a quadriplegic. Her fate was one I would never have expected to befall a woman who had been so vibrantly active and in love with life until her early 90s. And I certainly would never have expected it to happen in part because of the negligence of “care” givers in an assisted living facility. Some things are hard to forgive.
After my mother’s death just after Christmas 2009, I thought I might begin to find both rest and the respite but life
has a way of not working out quite as we might have planned and 2010 was another difficult year. But, I’m back at the keyboard.
It’s good to be home. Stop by. Friends encourage one another through the twists and turns of life.
